ICON A55S

This magnificent icon is 39.2 x 46.6 in (98 x 118 cm) and handpainted with silver, gold, semi-precious stones, pearls, and crystals. It is set on a cotton velvet beackground in a handsculptured oak frame. The design is unique to ABA Cuprum. More current renditions at this price level include additional 24K highlighting in the robe.
This icon is open to modifications. Please review two recently completed versions of #A55S, as shown below with #A55SR (a more elaborated version) and #A55SB (a less elaborated version).

Icon #A55S is set on a velvet beackground in a handsculptured oak frame. The medium red color of the background is available in other colors and shades, including a burgundy red closest to the original Ostra Brama icon.
The design of the cover is unique to the icon maker.
The metal cover can also ordered with hinges as with the original. In this case, the cover would swing open to reveal a fully painted Ostra Brama icon. Both the hinged cover and full icon painting are options.
Additional options could include (but are not limited) pearls, amber, and other crystals.
Future versions of #A55S are planned to have considerably more gold gilding than pictured here.

Icon #A55S is silverplated on top of pure copper.
The gold coated sections include the sash (large curving part at bottom of icon), highlights of both crowns (as can be seen in the "Detail" image to the right), trim in upper portion, and the 12 stars in the halo's shining rays.
You can see the bejeweled aspects in the "Detail" image. These are high quality crystals.
In addition, #A55S has a river of pearl beads. They are not regular in shape, although any type of pearl could be specified by the customer.

The cover in icon A55SR has been made to swing, revealing a full painting underneath. With icon A55S, the cover is fixed and only the face and hands are painted.
The cover in A55SR has been significantly elaborated with stones, crystals, gems, ambers, and pearls compared to A55R.

ICON A55SB "OSTRA BRAMA" VIRGIN OF VILNIUS

Icon A55SB is an example of how A55S can be made without as much elaboration. Compared to icon A55S, the A55SB icon shown immediately above has fewer crystals and a less ornate wood frame. However, one would agree that icon A55SB is a fine realization of the historical Ostra Brama icon.
