ORDERING ONLY THE OKLAD COVER OF AN ICON It is possible to order an oklad cover without the underlying icon painting and board. This possibility would exist for painters who want to supply their own painting underneath. Consider the three images below: the first one to the left is catalogue #A32 (The Kazan Virgin). The other two to the right are with oklad only. The blue areas show where the holes in the oklad might be for putting your painting. #A32 as in Catalogue - Painting Underneath #A32 Without Painting Underneath - Smaller Opening #A32 Without Painting Underneath - Larger Opening The oklad cover could be ordered with the same size openings as in for the catalogue icons (e.g., the middle cover labled "... - Smaller Opening"). The price for ordering an existing icon cover without painting underneath would be approximately 75% of normal wholesale rate. ABA Cuprum is also prepared to cut the oklad cover to have a larger opening for greater painting possibility (e.g., the right side labled "... - Larger Opening"). The cost will depend on the how the oklad cover needs to be cut.
